Langhorne, PA (November 4, 2011) Vector180, an established provider of high-speed WiFi solutions, today announced that it is working with a number of Best Western Hotel properties to get them into compliance with their new High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) standards. Vector180 sees momentum building as hotel owners seek to be in compliance well before the May 2012 deadline.

According to Mark Axelman, VP of Sales for Vector180, “While the standard encompasses many facets of delivering the Internet to guests, the areas where the most upgrade activity is occurring are increasing bandwidth and bandwidth management, strengthening WiFi coverage throughout the whole property, improving support for corporate VPNs and upgrading equipment so that the system uses 100% commercial grade components.”

The Best Western in Center City Philadelphia recently completed their upgrade. “I didn’t want to wait until next May”, said Robert Jaeger, General Manager. “My newly installed enhanced system adds value for our guests and strengthens my competitive position compared to other hotels in our area. Vector180 did an excellent job at telling me exactly what we needed to do and what areas of my existing WiFi solution were already sufficient to meet the new requirements. They installed the upgrade with minimal disruption to my normal operations and we did not miss a beat.”

Vector180 offers Best Western properties an evaluation of their present status in comparison with the new standard. They present the results of their survey in an easy to read report card format that technical and non-technical hotel staff find useful.

Bob Kelly, Vector180 General Manager commented, “We make sure that each property will not only meet the Best Western standards, but that each system will perform to the level that guest have come to expect from a first class hotel. Our objective is to exceed both the hotel’s and customer’s expectations.’’

Langhorne, PA (November 2, 2011) Vector180, an established provider of high-speed WiFi solutions, today announced the installation of its “Managed WiFi System” in the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Del. The system supplements a wired internet access system and represents an investment in the hotel that will add to increased occupancy and translate to bottom line profits.

There is a significant market demand for improved WiFi system performance in the hospitality industry as hotel guests increasingly bring a wide variety of WiFi enabled devices with them when they travel. WiFi continues to be the No. one amenity demanded by hotel guests, and mobile data traffic is projected to more than double every year for the next five years, overwhelming the presently installed WiFi equipment, much of which is either inadequate or technically obsolete.

Dover Downs Hotel & Casino chose Vector180 after comparing many vendors and selected the most cost effective high quality solution that fit their needs. The hotel’s primary concerns in evaluating a provider for guest WiFi solutions were that the system be reliable and that guests and site management be adequately supported. Dover Downs Hotel & Casino selected the Vector180 solution because of their confidence that the Vector180 approach to system design and service was based on quality and aligned well with their goals of superior customer service. In addition, it was important that Vector180 supports its service with a 24x7x365 U.S. based customer support center that hotel guests can contact directly should they have any questions using the system.

“Reliable and secure WiFi access for guests has become more and more important to hotels,” according to Bob Kelly, Vector180’s general manager. “Guests now expect to have easy access to the Internet from a wide range of devices when they are traveling. As a result, we see hotels more focused on improving the amount of bandwidth and the performance of their WiFi systems in order to stay competitive. Vector180 supports hotels as they deal with the issues around this amenity by guaranteeing reliable, secure, complete coverage and total customer satisfaction.”

Langhorne, PA (July 13, 2011) Vector180, an established provider of high-speed WiFi solutions, today announced that it has launched comprehensive security / surveillance offering specifically for the hotel industry. This new product line includes monitored security solutions, a complete choice of video surveillance security camera systems, access control systems, intercom and much more. ith the rapid evolution in technology, Vector180 customers will be able to get remote access to their system via the computers and smartphones that has only recently become available.

“Over the past year, we have had a significant number of our existing customer base asking whether we provide surveillance systems in addition to WiFi solutions,” stated Bob Kelly, Vector180’s General Manager. “With WiFi, we provide high quality and secure systems for the hospitality industry, protecting hotels and their guests from hacking while giving them the most convenient access to the internet through all consumer devices. Now we can also protect the physical assets of hotel properties, using a wide range of tools. In addition, there are many similarities and overlaps between WiFi and surveillance technologies, so taking this step is a logical one for us.”

Vector180 takes the same approach to surveillance, offering custom designed systems to meet the specific needs of each property. Only after careful study of a property through a site survey will Vector180 make recommendations of system configurations and features. This results in the best value for the investment and allows the property owner to obtain a quick payback and rapid return on investment.

Langhorne, PA (April 1, 2010) —Vector180, an established provider of highspeed WiFi solutions in the hospitality industry, today announced the formation of its Authorized Partner program. This program provides qualified companies the opportunity to earn recurring revenue from selling Vector180 WiFi systems to their customers. There is a significant market demand for improved WiFi system performance in the hospitality industry. Not only has it become the number one amenity demanded by hotel guests, but mobile data traffic is projected to more than double every year for the next five years, overwhelming the presently installed WiFi equipment, much of which is either inadequate or technically obsolete.

“WiFi is like the hot water in a hotel, “according to Bob Kelly, Vector180’s General Manager. “When guests have it there is no issue. But when it’s not there or it’s not hot enough, everyone hears about it. And the guests may not return or ask for a credit to their bill. Vector180 addresses the internet issues that hotel GMs and owners suffer around this amenity by guaranteeing reliability, security, complete coverage and total customer satisfaction. Importantly, Vector180 offers a service based pricing model, ensuring that hotels can obtain this improved WiFi performance with only a minimal up front cost, making it easier for them to transition to the latest technology.”

A Win-Win Opportunity for Vector180 and Its Partners
Vector180’s extensive experience and service offering coupled with the increasing demand for reliable WiFi solutions creates a significant opportunity for those companies already rooted in servicing the hotel and motel industry. That is why Vector180 unveiled its unique cross-marketing program this month. Many companies already have relationships within Vector180’s target market, the hospitality industry. The opportunity lies in the ability of the Authorized Partner to identify the properties with a need for improved WiFi systems. Vector180 then performs a comprehensive analysis of the current operating environment, designs cost-effective options for that hotel, which the partner presents to the property management. Once the service contract is signed, Vector180 purchases any new required equipment, maintains the equipment, remotely monitors system performance, provides 24/7 support for both guests and hotel management, and even replaces any equipment that fails over the life of the contract.

At the same time Vector180 announced the appointment of Mark Axelman as Vice President, Partner Programs. He will be responsible for developing the company’s relationships with its Authorized Partners as well as managing Vector180’s partner support program. Mr. Axelman brings extensive experience managing channel marketing programs for several technology providers both domestically and internationally. “I’m excited to join the Vector180 team”, Mr. Axelman said. “There is a great opportunity to grow both for Vector180 and our Partners by filling the increasing demand for a WiFi solution that improves the guest experience.”
